Daughters of Naomi Embraced Ministry update

Happy 2021! As we begin the new year we can be thankful for surviving last year!! Hopefully you are looking forward and putting the old behind and pressing toward the new. Recently we have went out into our community as the holidays can be difficult especially the forgotten. We were able to partner with one of our group members, Heidi who volunteers for Oaklawn. They've been working with a local hotel to get homeless off the street. We were able to get donations from another member, Rhea who volunteers with a local shelter and purchase items to distribute "blessing bags" to the residents.
A group of us went out and walked the complex, handed out bags with gospel tracts, and prayed for the individuals. We also baked, decorated and passed out over 16 dozen cookies. The children were delighted to get back packs of goodies.
The owner was happy to have us out (I got a picture with him) and appreciated all the help. We were accompanied by a fellow minister and his people, Lance Prathaftakis.
We were one backpack short. A little girl, Savannah wanted one so badly, so we purchased one and brought it back to her on Christmas Eve.

4th Annual Daughters of Naomi Embraced Banquet & Auction

This women's charity fundraiser was successful because of our volunteers, speakers, attendees and sponsors! We are so thankful that you were a part of this great work and support for women who have addictions, abuse and abandonment. It couldn't survive if it were not for all of you that are such a blessing to this ministry!!

Ministry Update

We pray that you are enjoying your summer! As things open up and restrictions lift, we are excited to announce that we will have our 4th Annual Banquet and Auction this September!! We believe this will not only give us a sense of normal, but also encourage many. Ministry continues and women are being helped as we reach out in love to bring them from devastating and crippling situations. Fear has been the biggest factor in many decisions in our nation, but even more so in women who live in debilitating mindsets that prevent them from being free. Freedom is not something we should ever take for granted. The Word of God says, "For freedom Christ has set us free; stand firm therefore, and do not submit again to the yoke of slavery." Galatians 5:1

Our response to the discouragement, abuse and needs for comfort from the challenges of life and obstacles in the way of women moving forward, is to not only give them the life-giving words of Jesus, but also to invest in women who want to start a business, purchasing new clothing for battered women who are trying to rebuild their lives, large print Bibles for women with reading/comprehension disability, supporting women in the military with a care package and delivering a fruit basket to women experiencing loss. Just a few simple things that give women hope, which seems to be so elusive in our current times.

As you support the work of this ministry, you help these women overcome
and succeed in life. It's an important time to press on and continue the mission God has given us to accomplish. We cannot do it without you.

Please continue to life the women up in prayer and we hope that you will save the date of our banquet coming up on Saturday, September 26th. We are expecting this year to be greater than any before as God gives us the grace to begin again. See the attached flyer and save the date card.
