"That is what it means to be saved. You declare that you belong to another system of things. People point to you and say, "Oh, yes, that is a Christian family; they belong to the Lord!" That is salvation which the Lord desires for you, that by your public testimony you declare before God, "My world has gone; I am entering into another." Watchman Nee

Daughters of Naomi Embraced Ministry update

Happy 2021! As we begin the new year we can be thankful for surviving last year!! Hopefully you are looking forward and putting the old behind and pressing toward the new. Recently we have went out into our community as the holidays can be difficult especially the forgotten. We were able to partner with one of our group members, Heidi who volunteers for Oaklawn. They've been working with a local hotel to get homeless off the street. We were able to get donations from another member, Rhea who volunteers with a local shelter and purchase items to distribute "blessing bags" to the residents.
A group of us went out and walked the complex, handed out bags with gospel tracts, and prayed for the individuals. We also baked, decorated and passed out over 16 dozen cookies. The children were delighted to get back packs of goodies.
The owner was happy to have us out (I got a picture with him) and appreciated all the help. We were accompanied by a fellow minister and his people, Lance Prathaftakis.
We were one backpack short. A little girl, Savannah wanted one so badly, so we purchased one and brought it back to her on Christmas Eve.
