Give your problems to God and stop thinking, worrying and holding onto them . . .

At our mentoring & support group, Crystal Lantz taught on turning your problems over to God,

waiting on Him & having a determined mindset to trust that he will work it out in His time.

Sister Lantz read from Ecclesiastes
Chapter 3, verses 1 through 4
Waiting while it seems nothing is happening
when we want results NOW! It is a process for
the Lord to work in His TIME . . .
verse 11 "He has made everything beautiful
in its time. Also, He has put eternity in their
hearts, except that no one can find out the
work that God does from the beginning."

The illustration she used of having each lady
write down their 'problem' on a piece of paper
and put it in a jar which she labeled . . .
"YOUR PROBLEMS"
with a second label underneath
"NOT GOING TO BE HER FOREVER"

The message was to encourage the ladies
that even though the enemy want you to think
God's forgotten about you that is a lie!
The enemy doesn't want you to touch anyone
& so when problems come they either
- create a dependency on Christ or
-lead you to despair
It's a choice . . .
God knows us, in Psalm 139:1 it tells
us he has searched us and know us.

How much do we know about Him?
Romans 11:33 "Oh, the depth of the riches both of the
wisdom and knowledge of God! How unsearchable
are His judgments and His ways are past finding out!"

This mentoring/support group really got into the
Word! We thank Sister Lantz for sharing from her
heart & with great anointing!! There's was a
breakthrough inthe Spirit that night . . . as Sister
Lantz said the enemy looks for a crack, no
matter what, we can't turn back!!!

Mark Chapter 5

What are you facing? What things have bound you? Are you able to breakthrough the chains??

The most important question may be, in what power are you operating?

Luke 10:19 "Behold I have given unto you power to tread on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy: and nothing shall by any means hurt you."

As I was studying for our Thursday night support group, I read the account of Jesus restoring a demon possessed man. In these times we live in, I believe we are seeing more of the evil becoming bold once again. It seemed the enemy has had a strategy to lull the body of Christ into sleep, but was not overtly showing his true agenda.

Isaiah 42:22 "But this is a people robbed and spoiled; they are all of them snared in holes, and they are hid in prison houses; they are for a prey, and none delivers; for a spoil, and none said, Restore."

It seems the media has portrayed vampires, witches, ghosts, and supernatural evil as the latest trends. And of course the world plays right along. The scary thing is the church doesn't stand up like we should and say this is not of God. We should have no part in them.

There is a very real devil and he has demons that seek to inhabit humans. If they cannot possess you they attempt to depress, oppress and repress you. It is vitally important we stay within the will of God, not opening up ourselves to demonic activity. The word says we are not to be ignorant of the devil's devices. For years I was taught under Dr. Lester Sumrall, taking the course on Demonology & Deliverance you learn how to identify and avoid the trap of the enemy.

For those that have fallen victim to the deception of the enemy, there is hope. As Jesus set the demoniac of Gadara free He is still the same and is able. We have that power to deliver those that are bound. If only the church would rise up and take their place of authority, we would no longer allow people to bound that desire to be free. You can begin by declaring your authority as you walk in the path of righteousness.

As we encourage each other to stand firm on the rock of our
salvation, let's never forget He overcame so we have overcome!!

Sisters of Strength Mentoring & Support Group

As we move through the second month of the new year I like to define what we are doing . . .
Minister Leigh Prathaftakis leading the teaching

Mentoring: The Bible clearly instructs women to instruct those that are younger (1st Peter 5:5), but also tells us to declare His mighty acts (Ps. 145:4) and share wisdom (Prov. 9:9). In Titus 2 speaks about teaching & behavior, those that have experience, being an example to the younger, inexperienced in humility and representing the Word of God with honor.

Support: This can be summed up by the scripture in Galatians 6:2 "Bear one another's burdens, and so fulfill the law of Christ."
If we encourage each other and help carry each others' weight or concerns then we are imitating Jesus. When you see someone helping, it should inspire you to
assist them as well. The Bible says in 1st Peter 4:8-10 "Above all keep loving one another earnestly, since love covers a multitude of sins. Show hosptitality to one another without grumbling. As each has received a gift, use it to serve one another, as good stewards of God's varied grace."

There are many other scriptures in Ecclesiastes and Hebrews that talk about lifting each other up and encouraging each other. When women get together that been through some things and can help those younger going through those things, ah, how much of an impact we can make on this generation.

To me, young lives (any lives for that matter) are very precious and impressionable to the point idle words, loose talk, improper actions all can lead to destructive behavior and attitudes. Being careful in how you represent our Lord is not only wise, but can steer a life towards Him. The opposite is true as well. We are responsible for being light, salt and an ambassador for Christ in this world. How about your city or home?

We are blessed to be able to touch other's lives, now we need to be sure what kind of imprint we are leaving . . . we have been entrusted with the gospel an He find us faithful to the end.
